Peninsula Hill

Queenstown

Overlooking Lake Whakatipu and set amongst a contoured landscape, Peninsula Hill is a premium residential development with generously sized north-facing lots located in the highly sought after Kelvin Peninsula.

Civil Construction is delighted to be involved in the earthworks and civil works of this prestigious new subdivision. These works include:

  • Environmental controls
  • Bulk earthworks and extensive rock breaking in complex terrain
  • Installation of wastewater, reticulated water and stormwater services
  • Pavement construction including roading, kerb and channel, and footpaths

Civil Construction completed Stage 2 Civils work in 2025.

Currently under construction are Stage 3-8 Earthworks and Stage 3 Civils.

For these latest stages, Civil Construction heavily invested in new machinery to increase productivity to shorten project deadlines whilst also minimising noise & vibration levels to surrounding residents. These new machines include:

  • Vibrating Ripper Attachment - engineered to be significantly quieter than traditional rock breakers, reducing noise pollution and increasing efficiency. A first of its kind in the South Island!
  • 80tn Liebherr PR776 Dozer - a new class of machinery not previously used in our region. It allows us to increase production on site - moving more rock, quicker!
  • Volvo Loader - which was converted to a Compactor. This machine provides us with more versatility on site - reducing the need for more machines onsite.
