Title: Construction Operations Manager (Canterbury)

Office Address:
75 Foremans Rd
Hornby,
Christchurch 8042

Peter is our Construction Operations Manager for the Canterbury region. He has been in the drain laying and wastewater service industries for over 45 years. He is a Certifying Drainlayer and a member of the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board.

Peter’s strength in project management on complex projects has resulted in excellent results. Peter has extensive experience with site preparation, retaining walls, foundations, stormwater, domestic sewerage extensions, water, effluent, in-ground irrigation systems and mechanical service pipelines. His experience and strong leadership will ensure work to deliver the contract works are executed on time and to the highest quality and safety standards.

In 2019 Peter led his team on a number of aspects of the Sumner Road Re-opening project, including the construction of a 55m long rock fall embankment and the repair of a range of type and size retaining walls. This experience has given him a detailed appreciation for the complexities of working in a challenging site subject to rock fall, the high level of health and safety required given the constraints of the site location and the sensitive environment in which his team has been undertaking the works.

Other projects delivered under his leadership include the Wastewater Plant upgrade at Hanmer Springs, Fonterra plant expansion at Edendale, the underground services installation for Milton Prison, Jacks Point Subdivision in Queenstown and the Stewart Island Sewerage System, where he was required to build a disposal field within a National Park environment.
